Getting started with wildlife gardening

  1. Put out bird feeders. Put out scraps for birds
  2. Divide off a section of your garden for wildlife (a section of lawn that you allow to grow)
  3. Plant some wildflower seeds
  4. Provide water – bird bath or upside down bin lid
  5. Log pile or make a bug hotel
  6. Plant some pollinating plants, see our Top Ten Plants for Wildlife
  7. Put out food for hedgehogs
